{"id":1176,"date":"2022-04-30T22:19:46","date_gmt":"2022-04-30T22:19:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ailurophile.co.uk\/?p=1176"},"modified":"2022-04-30T22:19:48","modified_gmt":"2022-04-30T22:19:48","slug":"im-on-top-of-the-world-ma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ailurophile.co.uk\/?p=1176","title":{"rendered":"I&#8217;m on top of the world, ma&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This month, I&#8217;ve noticed a few articles and posts that highlight the naturally inquisitive behaviour of cats, and how sometimes it&#8217;s not in their best interests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first case that caught my attention was a post on a local sale page. A concerned resident had seen a cat in a tree; about 40 foot up, who appeared to be unable to make his own way back down. Cats claws hook backwards and are designed for climbing up, not down. For a cat to get back down, there has to be a way for them to turn around, which didn&#8217;t seem to be something this boy could manage. He was stuck up the tree for more than twenty four hours before a tree surgeon was able to assist, and get him home safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cats are amazing creatures and they manage to perform some utterly terrifying feats, but even they have their limits.
