<\/a><\/p>\nIn recent years, I\u2019ve noticed more and more entire felines roaming my local area; even if I don\u2019t actually see them, their rather pungent scent\u00a0 marking technique is prevalent in my garden in summer. (The hazards of planting a lot of plants that cats are partial to for my own feline group.)<\/p>\n
These cats are sometimes cared for by people that haven\u2019t been privy to the benefits (both\u00a0in from a social aspect with others of their species,\u00a0and health wise) to neutering their cats.\u00a0Sadly, they’re also sometimes \u201cno longer of fixed abode.\u201d Winter is a tough time for strays and ferals, so here are a few illustrations of shelters that can be made relatively easily to make their life a little easier. All of these images are sourced from the internet via Google search, and there are even designs for the more skilled craftsmen or women among us to illustrate making basic wooden shelters, like the one pictured. If you’re unable to provide a shelter in your garden, it may be worth considering donating to a local feral or stray organisation to assist in that way instead.<\/p>\n
And one small act that every one can perform is to ensure access to water that isn’t frozen.<\/p>\n
