Thief of Hearts…
Or actually, of underwear, mostly.
As always, when I’m on social media, I keep interesting articles saved for reference. One story has hit my feed via various pages and it’s that of Leonardo Da Pinchy, a rather handsome Siamese cat who resides in New Zealand. Leonardo has become famous for his somewhat unusual hunting trophies; it seems he has a penchant for clothing. In this news article, it’s specified he tends to target “luxurious” materials.

During the time I studied feline psychology, I learned about “pica,” which is in effect similar to what we’d view as a feline form of OCD. Cats who exhibit this often develop a fixation on a specific textures. Because it’s mentioned Leonardo gravitates towards certain materials, I find myself wondering if that’s what’s driving his behaviour, and if he’s allowed to keep one item of each material type, whether he’d retire from his life of petty crime.
Thankfully, the residents who are affected by Leonardo’s predilections are extremely understanding.
