New Year, Fresh Start

This time of year, my own home and the newsfeed of a certain social media site I use is full of pictures of felines being rather spoiled by their humans. It makes me happy to see the way cats are enveloped into a family and loved the way they should be.

On the flip side, due to the nature of some of my contacts there are also documented rescue cases that cause a great deal  of sadness to me. Rescues all over the UK work hard day in, day out and that; for a high number of them, definitely includes the festive season.

A while ago, I was approached by a representative of a site that had contacted many U.S rescues in an attempt to give people invaluable resources when offering animals a new home.

Over Christmas, I realised there’s no better time to share the link to the information so more people are aware  of what adoption entails, and how settling into a new home can be made less disruptive to an animal. I’m also sharing a link to the CatChat database of U.K cat rescues; because the more people know about cats needing homes and make the decision to offer a loving home, the better 2018 could be for both the cats and the hardworking rescuers.

This blog is to share the links mentioned, but it’s also to thank the rescuers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the less fortunate felines until their luck changes and they’re given the forever home they deserve.

Hoping everyone enjoys the rest of the festive season, and 2018 is a wonderful year for all!

Merry Christmas!
