In Celebration of St Gertrude, Part II…

The second blog recognising lifelong dedication to the feline population is U.K rescuer; Celia Hammond. Celia initially became a household name as a model in the 60’s, but is now most definitely better known for her tireless work towards improving the situation for cats in and around the London area. Celia founded the Celia Hammond Animal Trust in 1986, and opened her first clinic in 1999. Her clinics; based in Canning Town and Lewisham, run low cost neutering schemes to try and prevent the rise in feral colonies in the areas.
